The Mentorship Program
Empowering Life Learners Through Team Businesses
When Life Learners complete Phase I of the Woman of Mercy Program, they are given the opportunity to participate in a Team Business enabling them to gain practical entrepreneurial skills. A team is composed of Life Learners and a Mentor, together, they operate a micro-business for a period of nine (9) months.
To enable them start their team business, Mercy House provides a Team Business Grant. Granting is based on availability of funds and the number of women who qualify.
To qualify for a grant, teams are required to present a business plan and cost benefit analysis that adequately defends the profitability of their business idea. This is to ensure that our Life-Learners gain basic entrepreneurial skills, and mentorship to empower them to succeed as they start and operate their micro business.
